Lobo Drives International Docs/Software by Bill Degnan - 04/24/2008 19:37
The following are the Lobo docs and software I have on hand

Lobo brand OEM sa850/851 double sided diskette storage drive service, maintenance manual (c) 1977 Shugart Assoicates (print. 1980) - In short the Lobo SA850 and Lobo SA851 are to be treated as if they were Shugart double sided 850's.
NOTE
The SA800/801 are the single-sided equivalent.

sa400 Minifloppy Diskette Storage Drive OEM, Service, Maintenance Manual

"Preliminary October 1982 Max 80 Operation Manual" (spiral binding)

Max 80 Operation Manual (hard cover 3 ring binder and hard-cover box) 1984

SOFTWARE:
LDOS OS software v. 5.1.3 for Max-80
Lazy Writer for Max 80
MAX-80 CP/M 2.2 (bad disk)

Lobo with Shugart 800 Drives by Bill Degnan - 11/22/2012 10:52
This is a copy of an email for a Lobo 8" enclosure with Shugart 800 drives in it, for reference purposes. Not sure what system this was attached to, need to check the manual. This is the 2nd time I have found the drive 0 jumpers to be a lot different than drive 1, see my thread on the Intel MDS 720.

Here are the jumper settings:

Drive0: installed ‹ DS1-T1-X-B-A-Z
Drive1: installed ‹ T2-HL-800-DS2-T3-T4-T5-T6-T1-X-B-A-Z (this drive is at
the end of the cable)

Drive1 also had a drive_ready modification which resulted in pin22 being put
on pin4 of the interface connector (jumper R cut; wire from R to pin 4).

Given this configuration I'm not entirely sure what system this might have
been used in since the drives are set so differently.
